Description | A general introduction to the visual arts designed to create an appreciation of the vocabulary, media, techniques, and purposes of the creative process. Students will critically interpret and evaluate works of art (painting, sculpture, architecture) within formal, cultural, and historical contexts. | ||||||||

Plagiarism is unacceptable in a college environment and penalties will be assessed. 90% - 100% plagiarism on any item will result in failure of the class. Being late for class will count as an absence. Leaving class early will count as an absence. Using your phone in class will count as an absence. Using a lap top will count as an absence unless ADA use is requested Being disruptive in class will result in being removed from the class and the Department Chair will have to give approval to be able to come back to class. |

Attendance Policy | Research has shown a cause and effect relationship between attendance and college success. Students are required to attend/participate in the class. Attendance will effect the Final Grade. 2 missed assignments are allowed with no Attendance penalties after that for each missed assignment I will deduct 5 points off your Attendance grade. Unless it's a major emergency I will not reset assignments. Not turning in the Essay assignment will result in failure of the class.
